The two clubs played european for several years and both with success. Eidsvoll even made it to the semi-final of the European Football League EFL. In the last years the teams were influenced by worser financial situations and the lack of different financial sources. Both clubs therefore concentrated on their home league.

In 2011 final Oslo Vikings defence first was dominating the game and prepared the way for their offense. Eidsvoll could tie the game in the first quarter but at halftime the Vikings were heading already with
20 : 6. In second half both team continued to score but without influence to the result, the title for Oslo. Final score was 48 : 20 and time to celebrate for Oslo after a six years break.
