VIAMONT BOWL - 11th Championship game of Czech League of American Football

Prague Panthers 3 - Prague Lions 13 (0:0,3:6,0:7,0:0)

Prague Lions have won their second national championship in team history by
beating 8 time national champions Prague Panthers 13-3. It was a repeat of
last year championship game where Panthers got their 5th title in a row.

This time it was their cross town rivals Lions that celebrated the victory
and put Panthers winning streak to an end.

In front of 2200 spectators in Prague both teams showed excellent defensive
football that meant only one thing - the team that commits less mystakes
will win. And this year it was Panthers that ruined their chances with 4
turnovers (2 in Lions red zone). Lions showed up with nice and entertaining
passing attack, while Panthers relied on their running game. Lonely hero and
only player that scored a TD in this game was Lions QB Libor Navratil.

Although score does not show it the game was entertaining and open until the
ast second of the game. Both teams showed quality football with strong will
for the championship title and fans enjoyed it.

Congratulations goes to new national champions Prague Lions and everybody is
ager to see whether or not Panthers will come back next year.
