European Football League (EFL) and EFAF Cupp will start the 2006 season with an all time record number of 26 teams from twelve countries. This number of participants had never been reached in the 19 years of history of European club competitions. Only Demark, Belgium and Ukraine had not been able to send teams.

Germany with five starters is sending most participants, followed by Austria with four teams and Italy with three. Czech Republic and the Netherlands are participating after an years long break. Only Denmark could not send a team which was qualified.

"EFAF is very proud that our European Competitions with teams from capital cities e. g. Vienna, Berlin, Stockholm, Moscow, Amsterdam, Prague or Paris shows a real value for fans and public. EFL and EFAF Cup are real European Leagues."

At European Football League (EFL) the Champions of the leading American Football Federations and some Vice-Champions of the bigger countries are playing for the European Crown, the EURO BOWL.

Semi Finals will take place June 10./11. with the winners of group I versus group IV and winners of group II versus group III.

EURO BOWL XX, the EFL Final, is scheduled for Juli 22. /23., 2006.

EFAF Cup is the competition for the national Champions of the smaller national federations and leading teams from national leagues for bigger countries.

15 teams have entered EFAF-Cup 2005. They will play in five groups. The four best group winner will have home right at quarter final, the fivth group winner and the three best second place teams will be qualified for quarterfinal too.
